Rights of religious and ethnic communities in Syria must be respected

YEREVAN.- At least 8,000 Syrian Armenians have come to their historic
motherland, Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Nikolay Mladenov said at a
joint press conference with his Armenian, Polish and Swedish
counterparts.
Mladenov believes it is necessary to closely work with ethic and
religious communities of Syria to return the country on its way to
democracy and development.
Poland's Foreign Minister extended condolences on the death of
Armenians in Syria. In his turn, Sweden's FM Carl Bildt underscored
importance of respecting the rights of religious and ethnic minorities
in Syria, noting Armenians' contribution to formation of the state.
