CUMHURIYET: CONSTITUTIONAL COURT TO RATIFY ARMENIAN BILL

The French Constitutional Council is expected to pass a decision on
the bill criminalizing the denial of Armenian Genocide late Tuesday
evening, Cumhuriyet reports in an article titled "Constitutional
Court to Ratify Armenian Bill."
The French Senate passed the Armenian Genocide bill on January 23. The
bill envisages one year prison term and a fine of 45,000 euros for
anyone who denies the fact of Armenian Genocide. Later a group of
French senators appealed to the Constitutional Council against the
bill criminalizing the Armenian Genocide denial.
