    SURVEY: MAJORITY IN AZERBAIJAN ARE DISSATISFIED WITH ACTIVITY OF MINSK GROUP

    Baku - APA. Atlas Research Centre has conducted surveys among the 500
    respondents on 20th anniversary of OSCE Minsk Group (established in
    Helsinki assembly of OSCE Ministerial Council on March 24, 1992).

    The question on "how do you assess the 20-year activity of OSCE Minsk
    Group?" was answered by 12% as positively, 88% - negatively.

    The question "Which one of 3 co-chairmen of Minsk Group is needed
    to change?" was answered so: 18% thinks - US, 27% - Russia and 55%
    - France.

    Question: Which country of co-chairman is needed to join Minsk Group?

    Answer: 78% - says Turkey, 12% - EU and 10% - Germany.

    Question: How do you assess Russia's independently mediation during
    past 3 years?

    Answer: 77% - negative, 23% - positive.

    Question: Will Vladimir Putin act for acceleration of fair solution
    of this conflict?

    Answer: 85% - negative, 15% - positive.

    Question: Which factor can accelerate the fair solution of conflict?

    Answer: 28% - Azerbaijan must apply force, 18% - Armenian must adopt
    Updated Madrid Principles and 54% - Russia must exert pressure upon
    Armenia.

    Head of Atlas Research Centre Elkhan Shahinoglu noted that, majority
    in Azerbaijan were dissatisfied with OSCE Minsk Group's activity.
