INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF GENOCIDE SCHOLARS OPENS 10TH BIENNIAL CONFERENCE IN SIENA, ITALY

The 10th Biennial Conference of the International Association of
Genocide Scholars (IAGS) opened in Siena, Italy, on Thursday.
About 300 renowned scholars are participating in the conference, Suren
Manukyan, Deputy Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute,
told Tert.am.
The scholars will present about 200 reports on the Armenian Genocide,
Jewish Holocaust, genocide in Rwanda and other genocides. Armenia
is represented by four scholars, Haik Demoyan, Suren Manukyan Asyan
Darbinyan and Gevorg Vardanyan.
In 2015, on the occasion of the centennial of the Armenian Genocide,
IAGS is to hold its regular conference in Armenia's capital, with
the sponsorship of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.
