I found the software I need for work on a couple of websites. On those sites, it costs almost half the price compared to buying it directly from the developer. It could be cracked software, a reused license key, or simply a scam. I’m not sure. Either way, I need a way to verify this. Are there any services that can help with that?

Some vendors really do sell hacked software much cheaper than licensed versions. The problem is that it often works very poorly and unreliably. You buy it entirely at your own risk. It can also happen that you send them money using the provided payment details and receive nothing in return. In your place, I would seriously consider buying licensed software instead. You can still check these sellers using a scam website checker https://pr-cy.io/trust/ . Even if they turn out to be legitimate, in my opinion, the savings would still be questionable.
