Are floral patterns outdated

I am thinking about doing an accent wall in my dining room. I really like floral patterns but I am scared it is going to look like my grandma's house. Are florals still a thing in modern design or should I skip it? I want it to look elegant and fresh, not old fashioned and dusty.

Florals are definitely not outdated, they are actually having a huge comeback right now. The difference is the scale and the texture. Modern florals are either big and bold or very subtle.
