MAYOR OF YEREVAN RECEIVES THE RUSSIAN AMBASSADOR

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 28, ARMENPRESS: Mayor of Yerevan Gagik Beglarian
received today the newly appointed Ambassador of Russia to Armenia
Vyacheslav Kovalenko. Public relations department of the municipality
told Armenpress that congratulating the Ambassador on assumption of
the diplomatic mission the Mayor of Yerevan wished him a successful
activity and expressed confidence that in Armenia he will not feel
like a guest.
"Russia is a strategic alley for our state and I am glad that I paid
my first working visit to Moscow. We have achieved agreements of
multilateral cooperation with Mr. Luzhkov and hope that you will also
contribute to the realization of our projects," said Gagik Beglarian
during the meeting with the Ambassador.
"I aim to present the aged history of your state to our nation as
widely as possible; not everyone in Russia are in details informed
about the unique and interesting history of Armenia," noted Vyacheslav
Kovalenko in his speech.
