Armenian parliament ratifies Geneva child labour convention

Yerevan, 22 March: The Armenian National Assembly today ratified the
Geneva Convention on the Worst Forms of Child Labour.
Submitting the document, Armenian Minister of Labour and Social
Security Agvan Vardanyan said that the convention is aimed at banning
child trade, child prostitution, compulsory child labour and the use
of children in armed conflicts.
The convention also provides for rehabilitation actions for children
suffering from the aforesaid crimes.
