Pro-Armenian congressman agrees to meet with Turkish Diaspora

Former speaker of U.S. House of Representatives, the US Congress
minority leader Nancy Pelosi plans to meet with the members of the
Turkish Diaspora in the near future. It is the first time Pelosi
agreed to the meeting.
"Although we don't expect her to change her opinion on certain issues
right away, this is a very important and even a historical meeting
for our Diasporas", Mustafa Yilmaz, Turkish Diaspora representative,
told Azerbaijani APA news agency.
Nancy Pelosi is an advocate of the official recognition of the Armenian
Genocide by U.S.
However, this April Pelosi refused to put the Armenian Genocide
Resolution, H.Res.252, on the congressional agenda.
