CATHOLICOS OF ALL ARMENIANS RECEIVES FOREIGN MINISTER OF CYPRUS

YEREVAN, APRIL 4, ARMENPRESS: On 4 April Catholicos of All
Armenians Karekin II received Foreign Minister of Cyprus Erato
Kozakou-Marcoullis, press service of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin
told Armenpress.
At the meeting His Holiness pointed out the bilateral friendly
relations between Armenia and Cyprus, adding that the centuries-long
ties and historical presence of the Armenian community in Cyprus
play here an important role. The Catholicos also highlighted the
coopration of Armenia and Cyprus in international structures for the
good of the two peoples.
In this context Karekin II expressed gratitude to the government of
Cyprus for the constant attention paid to spiritual and national life
of the Armenia community.
For his part, Foreign Minister of Cyprus referred to the role of the
Armenian community in the country's life, stressing that the latter
enriches Cyrus and its culture.
His Holiness conveyed his blessing to Cyprus people, wishing that
Cyprus issue finds a fair resolution.
