YEREVAN, APRIL 14, ARMENPRESS: The Icelandic MPs have submitted a
proposal calling for the country's government to recognize the fact of
the Armenian Genocide committed by the Ottoman Empire in the early
20th century. Margrét Tryggvadóttir, an MP for The Movement, heads the
proposal calling for Iceland's formal recognition of the Armenian
Genocide, reports Armenpress citing Nouvelles d'Armenie.

The other two Movement MPs - Þór Saari and Birgitta Jónsdóttir - join
her, along with Lilja Mósesdóttir and Guðmundur Steingrímsson,
