TURKEY'S INDEMNITY TO ARMENIA WON'T BE RESTRICTED BY FINANCIAL, MORAL

    April 26, 2012 - 13:28 AMT

PanARMENIAN.Net - Article published in Radikal paper is one of the
numerous attempts by Turkish government to feel the Armenian pulse,
according to the press service of Government of Western Armenia.

"No international court can find Turkey guilty of the Armenian Cause,"
author of the article Kemal Cengiz writes.

"Is the Turkish journalist unaware of the fact that period of
limitation is not applicable to genocides? For this reason, the
successor to the Ottoman Empire - Turkish Republic is guilty of
racial and anti-Armenian policy the Ottoman, Young Turk and Kemalist
governments pursued. The Armenan Genocide is not confined to 1915
only. Historical study will reveal the mass killings of 1894-1896
in Cilicia, 1909 massacres of Adana, 1915-1917 slaughter in Western
Armenia, Cilicia and throughout the whole territory of the Ottoman
Empire, mass killings and deportation of 1918-1923," the message reads.

"The Turkish journalist focuses on mere issues of moral and financial
reimbursement, whilst ignoring the primary problem of territorial
compensation, as back in 1920, the then President of the U.S. Woodrow
Wilson drew the border between Turkey and Armenia. The journalist's
unawareness of the fact is questionable. Cengiz refers to the
compensation to individuals, as though they were simply offered to
leave their houses, taking the documents," Government of Western
    Armenia writes.
