Auction as a new tradition of voter bribery emerges in Armenia

A new tradition of voter bribery has emerged in Armenia. Now, a
voter not only sells his vote but also "sets it to an auction".
However, voter bribery is not yet a guarantee of receiving the desired
    votes.

ArmInfo's correspondent reports such "curiosities" from the electoral
district No.14. Candidates for parliament from two coalitional parties
offered the same amount of bribe to voters - 10,000 AMD and poor
voters could not chose between the two parties after they took money
from both the candidates. The sleeping conscience of the voters did
not wake up when taking a bribe and will hardly wake up during voting.
Taking money does not mean to work it out.

In the electoral district No.11 in Yerevan, candidates from the
coalitional parties proved quite generous. The preliminary 10,000 AMD
offered by one candidate was soon outbargained by his rival, who
offered 12,000 AMD per vote. The first candidate had nothing to do but
pay additional 5,000 AMD to the "insulted" voters.
