The Members of Parliament are already known. The board meeting of
the Republican Party will be held today which will make a decision
on the staff of the government.

Though before the parliamentary elections Vartan Oskanian said that
the prime minister should be elected through parliamentary elections,
nevertheless, the pre-election and post-election events are happening
in the context of the presidential elections of 2013.

Hence, the so-called government will be temporary. Actually, the
parliament will also be interim in the sense that it has also been
formed in the context of the upcoming presidential elections and may
    be abolished in one year.

The government and the parliament are interim also in terms of
the foreign political developments. If domestic life of Armenia is
"frozen" by one year, until the presidential elections, the serious
home and foreign transformations awaiting Armenia will require adequate
domestic changes which will first of all refer to the new government
    and the parliament.

The present political field, the so-called new parliament and
government are quite consistent with the aforementioned issues. No
political party is able to make decisions on simple issues. Confusion
could be noticed which could be the result of the failure of the
    former plans and expectations.

So, we will have a frozen situation in Armenia until the presidential
elections. The lesson that May 6 parliamentary election taught will
force everyone to refrain from abrupt moves until the presidential
elections. Rumors came that the leader of the main "opposition"
force, the PAP, met with their parliamentary group and warned them
not to deliver sharp speeches in parliament and urged the ministers
not to get depressed and have a rest in summer promising them that
    everything will be fine.

So, Armenia will waste another year with an interim parliament
and government the activities of which will match the logic of the
presidential elections. At the same time, nothing else should be
expected from the present political class. It is absolutely useless
and inconsistent with the Armenian issues and May 6 elections just
    fixed and concluded the situation.
