HAK GOING TO INITIATE NEW COLLECTION OF SIGNATURES IN FALL

The Armenian National Congress (HAK) explains the failure of an
initiative group to collect 44 signatures required for convening an
extraordinary sitting on the Harsnakar case in its own way.
"Holidays have started, many MPs are absent from the country," says
HAK senior representative Gagik Jhnagiryan.
The HAK MP does not consider it failure; rather, he is glad that the
initiative united the representatives of four political forces.
HAK will initiate a new collection of signatures in autumn in an
attempt to gather the required 44 signatures.
"The Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) has no other option. It is bound
to be opposition," Gagik Jhangiryan stressed.
Asked what prevents HAK to organize a collection of signatures to
begin impeachment proceedings, Mr. Jhangiryan expressed his doubts
over the success of the move.
"After 2-3 successful moves with other opposition forces, I do not
rule out such an initiative," he concluded.
