THE US LAND FORCES COMMANDER IS IN ARMENIA

Yerevan, July 18, ARMENPRESS: The delegation led by the United States
Land Forces Commander in Europe, Lieutenant General Mark Hertling,
was in the Republic of Armenia on regional visit.
As "Armenpress" was informed by the Defense Ministry, within the
framework of the visit Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and Chief of the
General Staff of the Armed Forces, Colonel General Yury Khachaturov
hosted Lieutenant General. During the meeting issues on the Armenian
peacekeeping unit in Kosovo mission, professional training of sergeant
staff, participation of the Armenian peacekeepers in multinational
military trainings organized by the US land forces in Europe and
other issues of mutual interest were discussed. Both sides recorded
the high level and development prospects of the Armenian-American
cooperation in the defense sphere.
The delegation led by Lieutenant General M. Hertling also visited
the Armenian Defense Ministry Military Institute after V. Sargsyan
and was present in the training of combat duty units of the Armenian
Armed Forces, as well as in the exhibitions of the elements carried
out by the Armenian Armed Forces' peacekeeping mission.
