TURKEY HAS NO RIGHT TO COMMENT ON NKR ELECTIONS: DAVID BABAYAN

    ARMENPRESS
    18 July, 2012
    YEREVAN

Yerevan, July 18, ARMENPRESS: Turkey has no political or moral right
to comment on the upcoming presidential elections in the Republic of
Nagorno Karabakh, noted the head of the Information General Department
of the NKR president staff David Babayan criticizing the Turkish
Foreign Ministry's statement, according which the latter does not
recognize the elections to be held in Artsakh.

"We are already used to the Turkish such non-constructive style and
are not earnest about it. Instead of criticizing the NKR upcoming
democratic, free and fair presidential elections, Turkey should
think over the activities of the authorities sponsored by the Turkish
government in Northern Cyprus, its non-democratic values, it should
not force the country's national minorities and should recognize one
of the biggest crimes against humanity - the Armenian Genocide, 1915",
    stated Babayan.

To his word, only after realizing all these, Turkey may advise any
country, otherwise Turkey has neither political nor moral right to
comment on the upcoming elections in Artsakh.

There are three candidates for the presidential elections in Artsakh:
NKR current president Bako Sahakyan, vice-rector of the State Agrarian
University of Armenia Arkady Soghomonyan, non-partisan deputy of the
    NKR National Assembly Vitaly Balasanyan.

274 electoral constituencies were formed in the country, one which
in the NKR permanent representation in Armenia. The number of the
people entitled to vote in the elections is 98 thousand 909.
