300-400 ARMENIAN CHILDREN FROM SYRIA TO TAKE PART IN A SUMMER CAMP IN ARMENIA

Yerevan/Mediamax/. The Armenian government made a decision today to
organize a children 's summer camp with participation of Armenian
children from Syria as well.
AMD 9mln will be allocated from the state budget to this end,
Mediamax reports.
Minister of Diaspora of Armenia Hranush Hakobyan stated that 300-400
children from Syrian Armenian families will take part in the camp
due to be held in Tsakhkadzor and Hankavan.
"Besides, I also offered the children to live in Armenian families
for them not to be isolated", she said.
According to the Minister, 150 families are already ready to accept
children coming from Syria as of now.
Hranush Hakobyan added that as of the latest data, already 30 families
of Syrian Armenians turned to the Armenian State Migration Service
to get refuges and refugee status.
Answering the question of the journalists, the Minister said that
Armenia's diplomatic representations in Syria will continue their
operation.
