    Russian Greco-Roman wrestler wins Olympic gold


    Russian wrestler Roman Vlasov won this country's fourth Olympic gold
    on Sunday with a 3-0 victory over Armenia's Artsen Julfalakyan in the
    men's 74 kilogram Greco-Roman wrestling event.

    Earlier in the day Greco-Roman wrestler Mingian Semyonov, also of
    Russia, won the bronze medal in the weight category under 55kg.

    Russian Greco-Roman wrestler Mingian Semyonov has won the bronze medal
    in the weight category under 55kg at the Olympic Games in London.

    Kashirina wins weightlifting silver

    Russian weightlifter Tatiana Kashirina has won the silver medal in the
    weight category over 75 kilograms at the 2012 Olympic Games.

    Chinese Zhou Lulu has become the Olympic champion. She has hit the
    world record in the clean and jerk sum of 333kg.

    21-year-old Kashirina's result is 332kg.

    Armenian Hripsime Khurshudyan has won the bronze medal with the result
    of 294kg. This is the first medal of the Armenian team at the 2012
    Olympic Games.

    Russian tennis duo wins Olympic bronze

    The Russian tennis duo of Maria Kirilenko and Nadezhda Petrova has won
    Olympic bronze by defeating America's Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond
    4-6, 6-4, 6-1.

    The women's pairs gold went to the Williams sisters, and the silver,
    to the Czech Republic's Lucie Hradecka and Andrea Hlavackova.

    Russian gymnast wins Olympic bronze

    Russian gymnast Maria Paseka has won Olympic bronze in vault.

    Romanian Sandra Izbasa has become the Olympic champion in this
    competition and American McKayla Maroney has won silver.

    Earlier on Sunday, Russian gymnast Denis Abliazin won a bronze medal
    in floor exercise.

    Russia's Ablyazin wins gymnastics bronze

    Russian gymnast Denis Ablyazin has won Olympic bronze in the men's
    floor exercise.

    The gold went to China's Zou Kai, and the silver, to Japan's Kohei
    Uchimura, who had already bagged gold in the men's individual
    all-round.

    Ablyazin's bronze was Russia's second on Sunday. The first bronze
    medal was won by Tatyana Arckhipova in the women's marathon.

    Archipova wins Olympic bronze in marathon

    Russian runner Tatiana Archipova has won the third place and the
    bronze medal in the marathon.

    Ethiopian runner Tiki Gelana has won the gold medal and set up a new
    Olympic record - 2 hours, 23 minutes and 7 seconds.

    The silver medal was won by Kenyan runner Priscah Jeptoo.

    Archipova has shown her best ever time of 2 hours, 23 minutes and 29 seconds.
