Speaking in Armenia's parliament, Vahe Enfiajyan, an MP of the
Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), dwelt on the extradition of Azeri
officer Ramil Safarov.
He inquired about whether "there is a diplomatic or any other special
agency that would have foreseen and prevented the criminal deal."
"This issue must remain the focus of attention of Armenia's parliament
and society until ones guilty are punished," Enfiajyan said.
He mentioned one more information problem. "Official Baku continues
its large-scale information campaign for the purpose of justifying
the murderer before the international community. They are carrying
out this campaign in a number of languages. They have even grown so
cynical as to carry out their campaign in Armenian," the MP said.
Enfiajyan stressed the need for intensive information activities to
prevent Azerbaijan from distorting facts.
He pointed out a significant fact. According to Azerbaijani mass media,
the work to get Ramil Safarov transferred to Azerbaijan got under way
a year ago, "through a criminal collusion" between President Ilham
Aliyev and the Hungarian government. "We know the
Azeri sort very well. And we know well how to struggle and defeat
the enemy," the MP said.
"A fool's only advantage over a wise man is that the former is always
feeling smug," Enfiajyan concluded.
