Killing a man with an axe cannot be considered a heroic deed, and we
are concerned about what happened, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign
Minister of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn said at a joint press conference
with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian. The Minister said
he had sent a message to Baku, urging them to settle the situation.

Speaking about the shameful Azerbaijani-Hungarian deal, Armenian
Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said "what we hear from Baku and
    Budapest today is shocking."

"Hungary says the deal was transparent, while senior officials in
Azerbaijan say secret negotiations were held. The Hungarian side says
they were unaware that Azerbaijan was going to release Safarov, while
Azerbaijani officials say the Hungarian side was informed about it,"
    Edward Nalbandian said.

"The Hungarian side has sent letters to Embassies accredited in
Budapest, where it expressed its indignation at Azerbaijan's decision
to pardon Safarov. The same letter notes, however, that the Hungarian
side will continue to develop strategic relations with Azerbaijan on
the basis of mutual trust," Edward Nalbandian added.

Having visited the Armenian Genocide memorial earlier today, the
Foreign Minister of Luxemburg said he was impressed with what he saw
there. According to Jean Asselborn, Luxembourg is holding serious
    negotiations with Turkey.

"Every time we urge Turkey to ratify the protocols aimed at the
possible normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations," he added.

Speaking about the necessity of developing the relations between
Armenia and Luxembourg, Minister Asselborn said his country is ready
to support Armenia on the path of European integration. He said
Luxembourg intends to have a resident ambassador in Armenia.
