FAMILY OF AZERBAIJANI SOLDIER CAPTURED BY ARMENIA SENDS LETTER TO THEIR SON

    Sept 25 2012
    Azerbaijan

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov - APA. Today, Azerbaijan solider Firuz Farajov
held in Armenian captivity marks his 20th birthday, his family told
APA. His relatives said, despite 2 months had passed, they couldn't
received any information about their son: "We are concerned about
the fate of our son. Firuz has been held in Armenian captivity for 2
months. We don't know whether he is alive or not. The International
Committee of the Red Cross informed us about their visit to him,
but they didn't show any proof on it. They even refused to give us
    our son's letter".

The family has sent another letter to Farajov: "We arrived in the
ICRC office two days ago and sent our next letter to Firuz. They said
that the letter would be delivered Firuz in a few days. We hope that
we will be informed about our son soon."

The soldier of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces Farajov Firuz Mirza, born
in 1992, was captured by the Armenian armed forces losing his way in
Tovooz region of Azerbaijan near the contact line of the Armenian and
Azerbaijani troops. The ICRC representatives met with Azerbaijani
solider who is still being held in Armenian captivity and got two
letters form him. But they didn't deliver those letters to his family.

The ICRC Office in Baku said that the "Red Cross" letters may only
contain family news. If the letters which do not meet these criteria
can not be delivered to anyone else."
