    ARMENIA FOURTH MOST RELIABLE PARTNER OF RUSSIA

    YEREVAN, December 5. /ARKA/. Armenia is the fourth among Russia's
    most reliable partners, say the report of the public opinion poll
    carried out by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center.

    The two most reliable international partners were Belarus and
    Kazakhstan, according to the poll.

    Belarus and Kazakhstan are the most reliable partners for 46% and 38%
    of the respondents respectively.

    Ukraine comes the third, and is the most reliable partner for 17% of
    the respondents. Reliability percentages for the other post-Soviet
    countries, according to respondents, are as follows: Armenia 5%,
    Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan 4% each, Uzbekistan 3%, and Moldova,
    Turkmenistan and Tajikistan 2% each.

    According to the poll results, Georgia is the most unreliable partner
    (1%), RIA Novosti reported.

    Rates of trust toward leaders of CIS countries are similar. According
    to Russian respondents, Belarusian and Kazakhstan presidents Alexander
    Lukashenko and Nursultan Nazarbaev are the most trusted CIS-country
    presidents - 34% and 31% respectively, says the release.

    Victor Yanukovch is the third (12%) followed by Ilham Aliev (5%) and
    Armenian and Kyrgyzstan presidents (3% each). Mikhail Sahakashvili
    is the least trusted president (1%).

    The poll respondents said Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine are the
    most successful and stable countries.

    The poll was conducted on November 24-25, a total of 1600 people were
    interviewed in 138 towns and villages of 46 Russian regions.

    Statistical error does not exceed 3.4%. -0--
