NEW CONTROL SYSTEM IS INSTALLED ON THE RAILWAY OF ARMENIA

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 5, ARMENPRESS. For the first time on the railway of
Armenia the newest control system ARM DSP is installed. The system
is installed at Spitak station and will manage the work at several
stations. Currently, the ARM DSP system is connected to Spitak and
Archut stations, and by December 20, the system will cover the stations
Haghpat and Akhtala. Work will be supervised by Spitak.
The company informed "Armenpress" that the system is able to solve
technological problems, to receive, show and store the information on
the movement of trains on the monitored station, identify and track the
rolling stock, determine the time of arrival and departure of trains,
as well as inform people working on the tracks and control work of
the traffic signals, interlocking system, locking and communication.
ARM DSP will significantly improve traffic safety, prevent risks
for the railway workers on the tracks, and improve the efficiency of
traffic control personnel and the use of communication channels.
The installation of the modern information technologies is one of
priorities of "South Caucasian Railway". SCR totally installs and
applies the latest automated control systems for local work and
stations, workstations, the old equipment is replaced with new
fiber ones.
