DUE TO EXPRESS MAIL SERVICE MORE PARCELS ARE RECEIVED IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. 51, 519 parcels have been received in
Armenia during the first 9 months of the current year. 12, 042 of these
parcels have reached Armenia via Express Mail Service. The Department
of Public Relations of CJSC "Haypost" informed ~SArmenpress~T that
letters are not included in this rating. Parcels are taken to Armenia
by international services. Express Mail Service is being used much more
frequently than others. It delivers parcels to Armenia in 2-3 days.
Unlike Express Mail Service common parcels get to Armenia in 2-3
weeks and cost cheaper. During the period if nine months 38, 535
common parcels have been received in Armenia.
State Revenue Committee informed "Armenpress" that parcels, the cost
of which does not exceed AMD 150, 000, are freed from custom taxes.
Previously the abovementioned sum was equal to AMD 50, 000.
Notwithstanding in accordance with present legal acts each citizen
has a right to receive parcels costing AMD 150, 000 free of charge
twice a year. These limitations are aimed to prevent the development
of shady business.
