Relics of Saint Gregory the Illuminator returned to Naples: a
    cross-stone erected

    15:30, 11 April, 2015

NAPLES, 11 APRIL, ARMENPRESS: Armenian psalms, sound under the arches
of the Church of the Saint Gregory the Illuminator in the
Italy'sNaples city, laid mystery on the part of the city, bearing
Armenian traces. The religious ceremony of the return of the relics of
the Saint Gregory the Illuminator, or as Italians call, Saint Gregory
the Armenian, and the erection of the cross-stone, devoted to the
centenary of the Armenian Genocide, were held.

The ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic of Armenia
Serzh Sargsyan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of
Armenia to the Holy See Michael Minasyan, the Mayor of Naples Luigi de
Magistris, other high ranking guests, religious fathers of the Holy
See and a large delegation of political and public figures from
    Armenia.

Armenpress reports that the Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II
stated at the ceremony, proving the brotherly ties between the
Armenian Apostolic Church and the Catholic Church, that in the
hospitable land of Italy, under these sacred arches, a joint prayer is
referred to the God, who gave grace to implement the blessing ceremony
of return of the relics of the Saint Gregory the Illuminator and
erection of the cross-stone, devoted to the centenary of the Armenian
    Genocide.
