THE LEADER OF LEBANESE FORCES SAMIR GEAGEA VISITS
HIS HOLINESS ARAM I
The leader of the Lebanese Forces, Samir Geagea had a private meeting with
His Holiness Aram I in the Saint Mary's Monastery in Bikfaya on August 3.
The Pontiff and Geagea discussed a number of issues related to Lebanon,
focusing particularly on the upcoming parliamentary elections in Metn.
Dr. Geagea explained his viewpoints and concerns. The Catholicos stressed
the importance of avoiding acts that would trigger sensitivities, preserving
democratic principles and Christian unity.
