ARMENIA AGAINST AZERBAIJAN'S OLYMPIC AMBITIONS

During the 30th session of BSEC member-states, Azerbaijan's initiative
to hold the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Baku was supported with 8
votes 'pro' and 1 vote 'contra'.
The only country to vote against the initiative was Armenia. The
Armenian delegation explained its position by the notion that Olympic
games cannot be held in a country, involved in a conflict.
