"PROSPEROUS ARMENIA" STATED THAT IT WILL SUPPORT SERZH SARKISIAN DURING THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS

Yerevan /Mediamax/. "Prosperous Armenia" party stated today that during
the presidential elections of February 19 of 2008, it will support
the Prime Minister, the Chairman of Republican Party of Armenia (RPA)
Serzh Sarkisian.
Mediamax reports that the statement, approved today in Yerevan
following the results of the extended session of "Prosperous Armenia"
party's political council, reads this.
The documents notes that the decision on supporting Serzh Sarkisian is
based on the coalitional agreement, signed with the RPA following the
results of parliamentary elections of 2007, as well as the "mutual
respect and trust".
"We are sure that our single candidate will in the best way solve
the problems, which Armenia faces, and will be able to preserve the
political stability", the statement reads.
