RA PRESIDENT AND RECTORS DISCUSS THE PROCESS OF EDUCATIONAL REFORMS

The process and further steps of the reforms in the sphere of
higher education were discussed during today's meeting between
President Robert Kocharyan and Rectors of state higher educational
establishments.
Particularly, reference was made to the ways of resolution of
problems that occurred during Armenia's joining the Bologna process
and implementation of the credit system.
The President said that in a short period of time the issues connected
with the novelties should be clarified and solutions should be found.
Robert Kocharyan showed interest in the implementation of new education
technologies and existence of contemporary professional literature. In
the President's words, it is necessary to demonstrate comprehensive
approach to provide the students with new basic manuals, otherwise
only system changes will not bring about a break in the improvement
of education quality.
Robert Kocharyan said he anticipates a dynamic, cooperated and targeted
work to carry out the reforms without loss of time and shortcomings.
