Glendale, California June 10, 2007- The Armenia School Foundation (ASF
USA), a non-profit organization dedicated to refurnishing schools in
Armenia, held a cocktail reception at Ara and Carol Akopian's residence to
introduce its new Honorary Board Members, and raise funds for future
    projects.

In his welcoming remarks, Armen Abrahamian, Chairman of the ASF Board,
stated that `We are delighted to see the results of recent collaborative
efforts with organizations such as Armenian Educational Foundation (AEF),
and are looking forward to future partnerships with them as well as others
such as Glendale- Ghapan Sister City, and Pasadena Rotary'. He reminded
everyone to mark their calendars for the ASFs fifth anniversary gala
dinner/dance in early 2008 and commented on the major strides the ASF has
made in the last few months. Mr. Abrahamian thanked Ara and Carol Akopian
for their continuous support and presented them with an appreciation
    plaque.

Hrand Der Sarkissian, former president of Armenian Education Foundation
(AEF), talked about the successful collaboration with ASF. He said `After
going through a selection process, ASF was identified as the reliable
partner. We provided over $330,000 to ASF in Armenia to manufacture and
deliver new furnishings to 45 schools. AEF was very satisfied with the
results. We faced many challenges such as, transportation of desks and
chairs to schools in remote villages, road conditions, import of raw
material, and the harsh climate during winter months. `Both our
organizations had to overcome numerous obstacles for the project to be
    successful' said Der Sarkissian.

Among many supporters and friends were representatives of Armenian
American Chamber of Commerce, Homenetmen Glendale Ararat Chapter, Research
on Armenian Architecture (RAA), Armenian Society of Los Angeles, Focus on
Children, and local newspaper representatives. Board members, Varooj
Kureghian and Janet Mirzayan, concluded the foramal portion of the
reception by thanking all the attendees for their continuous support and
announcement of over $10,000 raised during the reception.
