ARMENIAN NATIONAL TEAMS OF MEN AND WOMEN SHARE SECOND-THIRD PLACES BEFORE LAST STAGE OF EUROPEAN CHESS TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

HERAKLION, NOVEMBER 6, NOYAN TAPAN. The games of the 8th penultimate
stage were held in the European Chess Team Championship being held
in the city of Heraklion of Greece. The game between the Armenian
national team of men and that of Azerbaijan ended in a drew: 2:2, the
Armenian team of men recieved 12 points and shares the second-third
places with the chess players of Israel. As for the national team of
Russia, it is in the lead of the tournament table with 15 points.
The Armenian team of women defeated the representatives of Poland with
a score of 2.5:1.5 at this stage and also shares the second-third
places with them. The leader of the tournament of women is the team
of Russia with 14 points.
At the last 9th stage the Armenian team of men compete with that of
Israel, and the Armenian team of women with that of Georgia.
