MEDICINE SUBSIDY WILL INCREASE BY 60 PERCENT

In 2008 the government assigned 2 billion 240 million drams for the
health sector, said Prime Minister Ara Harutiunyan during the meeting
with medical workers yesterday.
According to the minister of finance Spartak Tevosyan, next year
medicine subsidy will increase by 90 million drams from this year's
56 million drams. The salaries of health workers will also rise by
20 percent.
Government will also boost funds for free medical services from 800
million to 1 billion 158 million drams.
