The European Union sets to continue to strengthen the cooperation with
three South Caucasus countries and to assist their relations within
the Eastern Partnership Policy, issued in a resume of the Cooperation
Council held in Luxembourg between the European Union and Armenia,
    Georgia, and Azerbaijan.

During the Cooperation Council, the parties discussed the
implementation of the EU-Armenia and EU-Georgia European Neighborhood
Policy Action Plan and issues connected with enhancing of relations,
including prospects for the negotiation of a new EU-Armenia and
EU-Georgia Association Agreement within the framework of the Eastern
    Partnership.

The Cooperation Council welcomed the signature by Armenia and Turkey of
the two protocols relating to the establishment of diplomatic relations
and said that EU would continue to offer to support this process. It
was also welcomed the dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan which
provided "decrease of the controversy" of the issue of Karabakh.

In addition, EU said it would continue to support the development of
democratic institutions in Georgia. During the EU-Georgia bilateral
dialogue the parties discussed EU's role in resolving the conflict
in Georgia and EU Observer Mission, the EU's participation in
the Geneva talks, its financial assistance to the restoration of
conflict-affected areas of Georgia and to refugees, and its support
    to economic stabilization.
