The real power in Armenia is not concentrated in the hands of
government, Vahan Hovhannisyan, Head of the ARF faction, said during
today's discussion of the government program.
"The government serves as a cover for other forces, including economic
clans whose representatives are present in the National Assembly,"
he said.
The ARF representative urges the legislative and executive bodies
to unite and remove the cover and see what is going on 'behind the
scenes.'
The only way out of the situation is sincerity, which according to Mr.
Hovhannsisyan, lacks in the National Assembly.
"They promise to increase salaries to AMD 150 000. I listen to their
pledges and my spirit rejoices at the thought. When we said the same
things during the election campaign, Republicans said Dashnaks are
promising the moon; salaries cannot be increased five times. As you
see, they are repeating our words today," said Vahan Hovhannisyan.
