Decrease in number of oligarchs and criminal elements expected in
    future parliament - Armine Ohanyan

    18:08 09/03/2012 » Politics

I hope the next parliament of Armenia will be better, editor-in-chief
of Hraparak daily Armine Ohanyan told a news conference in Yerevan,
commenting on the forthcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia.

`I think, at least we will see a decrease in the number of oligarchs
and criminal elements in the National Assembly,' said the editor.

According to singer Lilit Pipoyan, there is an atmosphere of public
and political intolerance in the country, especially among the youth.
She did not rule out that riots will break out if gross violations
    take place in the elections.

`I only wish that the authorities took into account this fact and did
not permit shocks in society,' said Pipoyan.

Unlike Lilit Pipoyan, singer Shushan Petrosyan is optimistic, and
hopes that no violations will take place during the elections.
