RUSSIA SHOULD NOT IMPLEMENT STEPS AGAINST THE INTERESTS OF ARMENIA: TIGRAN SARGSYAN

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS: Our strategic partner should
not perform steps blowing our interests. As informed "Armenpress"
this was announced by the Prime Minister in the interview with
"Izvestia" speaking about Russian "Compatriots" program. The Prime
Minister emphasized: "Without that we have a demographic problem. The
migration especially from border regions will blow to the interests
of Armenia. We have established this accurate and clear position in
our protocols."
The Armenian side recorded in the record of the October 12 session of
Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission on economic that he is
strongly against about the implementation of the "Compatriots" program
of the Migration Service of the Russian Federation in Armenia. The
Migration Service Office of Russia in Armenia announced that it will
stop the accepting of applications of Armenian citizens who wish
to move to Russia in the frames of '~QCompatriots'~R program. The
project started in 2006 and its goal was the settlement of the less
populated areas of Russia through the citizens of CIS countries.
