Ruben Hayrapetyan, President of the Football Federation of Armenia
(FFA), held a meeting with journalists on Thursday.
Asked if the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) will be able
to "turn the forthcoming parliamentary elections into a presidential
election," Hayrapetyan said: "It is common knowledge what the ANC
actually is. All of them are agents except for a couple of persons
and Aram Sargsyan. They are executing other nations' orders."
With respect to possible post-election shocks, he said: "Our people
will not repeat their mistake." Asked about the reasons for his
refusing to run for parliament, Hayrapetyan said that he is unable
to act as both FFA president and as an MP.
