"Honorary" citizen of Yerevan Henrikh Mkhitaryan
Armenia international Henrikh Mkhitaryan is among candidates for
the "most popular" player of 2012 in a poll being conducted by the
International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).
The second stage of the vote to pick the "most popular" soccer player
for the year began on the IFFHS website on October 15 and FC Shakhtar
midfielder Mkhitaryan is among 78 candidates from Europe.
A vote by the site users will determine the top eight players from
Europe until November 30. The final selection among candidates
representing all continents will be made in the period from December
1 to January 3.
